Please let me know impressions about the iPill for real-time medication adherence management in patient homes. https://docsend.com/view/pb3wquzsrw9hvbha
The mission of iPill is to improve access to and treatment OUD. Suboxone/Methadone used in MAT reduces opioid overdoses by greater than 50% yet only 1/3 of OUD clinics use it. 2 million people are in OUD treatment and 20 million people need OUD treatment. Getting MAT drugs to patients quickly can reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings that can reduce relapse. iPill can send MAT drugs directly to patients homes even if in a remote rural location.
The iPill ecosystem consists of an app connected to a pill dispenser for secure opioid storage, cloud-based medication adherence monitoring, active control dispensing, & destruction of unused pills upon tampering and prescription end. Use of iPill technology extends the safety and security of opioid use in the hospital to the home.
To accelerate OUD clinic adoption, iPill revenue shares collections on remote therapeutics monitoring codes (RTM) which can increase per patient per month revenues and reduces operating costs - the $8,000 to $22,000 per patient per year non-emergency medical transportation cost.
