Supporting the Primary Care-Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) model with next-geration health IT solutions for clinicians, patients and researchers: A knowledge based, value driven, whole person healthcare strategy
Supporting the Primary Care-Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) model with next-geration health IT solutions for clinicians,...
    • CEO/President at NHDS, Inc.
I received a PhD in clinical psychology from Hofstra University in 1981 and soon began developing a health IT system that uses common off-the-self software in innovative ways to manage a lifetime of physical and psychological health data and deliver actionable information and guidance to clinicians and healthcare consumers/patients. My company has also developed innovative software systems providing evidence based decision support, outcomes assessment, knowledge management, and crisis management, as well as a peer-to-peer mesh node architecture supporting widespread collaboration and exchange of comprehensive health information and analytic/decision models. My most recent activities involve:
    • Designing and deploying the first cyber-infrastructure focused on enabling clinicians and researchers to collaborate in loosely-coupled professional networks focused on the development, exchange, evolution and use of decision knowledge models that support a Whole Person Integrated Care (WPIC) strategy with a purpose-built software framework.
    • Providing innovative professional services (health and technology), along with proprietary and open source software products, which help patients/consumers gain the confidence, competence and direction they need to manage their health effectively.
    • Writing my blog (curinghealthcare.blogspot.com) and LinkedIn articles (https://www.linkedin.com/in/stevebeller/detail/recent-activity/posts/). I also focus on understanding the mind-body connection, the positive and negative aspects of human nature, and how to use this knowledge to evolve as a species, conscious and cosmology, and philosophy (e.g., what makes reality real, what's the purpose of life).
