Misson Statement

Through its groundbreaking ChangeMedEd initiative, the AMA is transforming medical education across the continuum and collaborating with undergraduate and graduate medical education institutions to create a system that trains physicians to meet the needs of patients today and in the future. 

An extension of the AMA ChangeMedEd consortium of 37 medical schools and 11 Reimagining Residency grant teams, this community is a place for thought leaders and innovators to meet, collaborate, discuss topics and share ideas to transform medical education across the continuum.  

Solution Design

Members of the ChangeMedEd Consortium are collaborating to create bold innovations across undergraduate and graduate medical education, provide transformative resources for learners and educators, and present national events that disseminate innovations to better train physicians to meet the needs of today's patients and anticipate future changes.

Areas of focus include:

- Health systems science

- Academic coaching and the Master Adaptive Learner

- Competency-based medical education

- Making technology work for learning 

- Transition from UME to GME

- Workforce development
